Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy
For Angels Hair Extensions
All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and i would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my clients for their patience throughout this time.
My priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to the re-opening of Angels Hair Extensions I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of. During the time the business has been shut, I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. I have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.
Booking Appointments
If I feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately and not continue with work. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled I will re-book again for when I am able to recommence work or at your earliest convenience depending on which is sooner.
If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise me as soon as possible and DO NOT ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT. I will re-book your appointment for you and you will not loose your non refundable deposit in the event that a re booking occurs due to COVID 19. This only applies to re bookings and not general cancellations.
Visiting Angels Hair Extensions
For the safety of my clients and my own household the log cabin in the back garden has been converted into a safe working environment and clients will access this through the garage in which i will lead the way. This prevents any cross contamination from occurring directly or indirectly which could be obtained by entering through my house. The log cabin is well ventilated and where possible the double doors and windows will be open to ensure circulation of fresh air.
For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving. However in the event this does occur you will be asked to wait in the garden until I have finished and the work area has been sanitised.
Due to the limited space in the log cabin i ask that where possible you attend your appointment by yourself, in the event this is not possible then only one person can attend your appointment with you.
I have increased the frequency of cleaning including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc, are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client.
All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.
Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.
You will have access to hand sanitiser as you enter the log cabin, and you will be required to sanitise your hand upon your arrival and when leaving.
In accordance to government guidelines you will be required to wear a facemask at all times and no offence will be taken if you decide to wear disposable gloves during your hair extension appointment. I myself will also be using a face covering and gloves where possible.
During your appointment
I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that I wash my hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your appointment.
I will try to make your hair extension experience as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your appointment please let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you.
After the appointment
In order to avoid handling of cash, I would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by card / bank transfers / or PayPal.
All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. I will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
Mobile Appointments
I appreciate this is an unsettling time for everyone and that some people may have concerns in regards to leaving their house, however for the safety of all my clients and myself mobile appointments will be on a limited basis.
All Appointments will now take place in my log cabin where possible so that i can ensure a sterile and safe environment for everyone.
In the event that it is not possible for you to travel to me and a mobile appointment is the only option then all sterilisation products for equipment will be bought to your premises. I would also ask that you also wear a facemask.
Thanks you for your understanding.
